Women,
It’s Time!!
Men have had thousands of years to rule our planet. They had centuries to be
good stewards of the land. But, instead of caring for the land, while we bore
their children, and kept their homes, they began destroying the land. They
destroyed mountains for precious metals, and dug holes in the ground for oil
for fuel.
They developed all kinds of toys to play with, and to get jobs done, but their
favorite toys were ones that were either destructive, or mostly for fun. Their
toys required natural resources to run them, so they dug more holes, destroyed
more mountains, and did not notice that they were poisoning our water and air
in the process.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
As technology continued, they became lazier, because they created machines that
could do a lot of the work for them. They were bored, because women were busy
cooking, cleaning, raising the kids, tending to chores the men didn’t get to,
and bearing their children. Women were unable to pay attention to them all the
time, so they created their own entertainment.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
With organization and mechanization, men were able to cut their hours of work,
and needed more stimulation to keep them out of trouble, just like children. So they created radio, and then television,
and found ways to put their feet up and relax while their wives prepared their
meals, cleaned their clothes, bore their children, washed their dishes, and fed
and cared for their kids.
AND WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
Then, the need for more radios, TVs, telephones, fancy cars, bigger homes to
house their toys, created cash flow problems. So, women, again, picked up the
slack and went to work, to bring in a second paycheck, so their man would stay
home and be faithful instead of looking for entertainment elsewhere. But when
we returned home, we still had to clean their house, cook their meals, feed and
care for their kids, and wash their dishes.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
Resources became harder to find, so they developed new ways of cracking the
Earth to get more fuel out of the Earth. But to do this, they had to poison
more water, and then pump it deep into the earth where it would once again,
poison our water. But they put other men to work doing this so they could watch
their TV, listen to their music, and put their feet up. Meanwhile, women made
their meals, cleaned their houses, washed their clothes, fed and cared for
their children, had their babies, and all of this after they got home from
their job.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
Bored men are
dangerous, and our men were used to getting their ways, so they became
restless. Unfortunately, when men are restless, and the women are away at work,
or working in the home, the men create their own entertainment. They decided
that they had created a country they were satisfied with, and a government they
thought was the best, so they decided that others needed to experience the same
kind of government. Unlike women, who would have negotiated, explained, and
convinced these other countries, the men decided it was their job to force
these countries to follow their ways. So, they went to war, fought these
countries, and they tried to coerce the countries to follow their ways, and
finally, after many years, they came home, sometimes defeated.
AND WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
Soon, resources began to be harder to find, so they learned that there were
resources in other lands. Instead of bartering and swapping like women would do,
they started a war to take the oil. But our men were old, so they sent our sons
to do their bidding and bring home the oil. Thousands of our sons, and then our
daughters were sent to this foreign land, without their mothers, and proudly
fought for their fathers. Sadly, many of our children did not come home and
many who did were badly damaged. They lost limbs, were bombed, some captured, some
rescued. They returned home battered, and hurt, and often with emotional and
mental issues that we could not fix.
AND WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
We started a new
century and another man decided he wanted to show his father how things were
done, so he decided that we would go back and get that oil in that far away
land. But before they could, a true enemy attacked our land, killed men, women
and children, and so our country, including our women demanded justice. But our
leaders decided to go after the oil, instead of the murderers, and they sent
our sons and daughters to fight this war. Again, we lost thousands of our
children, and more came home battered, bruised, broken, and emotionally
damaged.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
A new leader worked at ending wars, and protecting our children, and our land,
but he was met with obstruction from those who wanted more of those resources.
He was able to finally bring justice for the deaths of all our people that were
killed by terrorists, but that no longer mattered to the men in charge. They
didn’t like him, because he was “different”
He tried to get the other men in charge
to find safer, cleaner methods of fueling their toys, but they did not want
change. All our children that were left
started coming home, and the devastation to their bodies, and the damage to
their psyche became more and more apparent. Our children could not function
normally. They were “shell-shocked” and missing limbs. Their bodies had
suffered in extreme conditions and they needed medical attention. But the men
in control had cut the funding to help them. They allowed our children to go
without medical treatment, without housing, without food. When they tried to
get food, these men cut their benefits. Our grandchildren suffered because
their fathers, and mothers, could not care for them, and the men would not help
them. They were accused of being lazy. And the men in charge refused them help.
All this time, the men were getting rich, and the rich were getting richer. The
banks had been cheating the poor, and something needed to be done. But the men
in charge were greedy. They would only help those who would pay them. They
forgot that the people had elected them to office, and instead became
prostitutes to wealthy men, because their greed had eaten their souls.
More and more people struggled to feed their families. Women worked two jobs,
and still cleaned house, fed their families, cleaned up after their husbands,
and took care of everything. They asked for relief, and the men in charge
called them lazy.
AND WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
People around the world
were getting poorer and poorer. Mothers like us were trying to save their
children. They had heard wonderful stories of our country, so they saved their
money and sent their children to our country, in hopes they would survive. Some
nations had gangs that were forcing children into their gangs, and young girls
were being raped, so more mothers starved and saved to get their children out
before they were killed. They sent children by the thousands to our borders, in
hopes they could be safe, and survive. But the men in charge had been poisoning
the minds of the people, convincing many that they were above others, and told
them that these children were diseased and horrible creatures. They used their
TVs and radios to make people afraid, and mad. Many people listened, and tried
to stop these children from entering our land. Others called them names,
shouted at them, treated them badly. But they kept coming. They had nowhere
else to go. They did not understand this hate. But some of us came forward, and
offered our homes, our love and our comfort. Because we would want another
woman to do that for our children if we were desperate enough to send them away.
Thousands of these children came, and we tried to house them all, but the
greedy men in charge would not release the money needed. They turned the public
against these kids and against the parents that sent them here for safety.
Sadly, many of these kids were housed in buildings and conditions that would
tear our hearts out if they were our kids, but we could not get the men in
charge to thaw their frozen hearts.
AND WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
The men in charge
started trying to sell off our precious parks and beautiful land to be used to
dig more holes, destroy more mountains, cut down more trees, and poison more
waters. But the land began to respond. Earthquakes began appearing in places
that had never experienced them before. The loss of trees created an imbalance
between carbon and oxygen, and the weather began to respond as well. Oceans
started warming, causing trouble for sea life. Temperatures started rising, and
scientists told us we needed to stop using fossil fuels and use renewable
energy, or the world would suffer more. But the men in charge did not want to
spend money. The preferred to give it to those people who would get them the
fuels they needed for their toys, and the ones who the prostituted themselves
to.
They continued to sell themselves to the
companies that dug the holes and destroyed the mountains, cut the trees and
poisoned the waters, and ignored the cries of the scientists and most of the
people. The men in charge continued to lie to the people. They used the TVs and
the radios to infect their minds with lies, and fears, and hatred. They lied to
the people about events going on, who was on their side, and tried to convince
them that there was no need to change their ways.
The men in charge kept
getting richer, while the people continued to suffer. But the men in charge
convinced the people that were making ends meet that they were superior to
those who had fallen on hard times, and demonized the poor. They convinced the
people that homeless people were less than human, and passed laws making it
illegal to feed them. They built benches and doorways so that homeless people
could not comfortably sleep, and chased the homeless from the parks. They
arrested people who tried to feed them. The men in charge managed to turn
nearly half the population into cold-hearted, unloving, selfish people. They
were convinced they were superior, and that it would be beneath them to help
those in need. They convinced the people that those who were trying to make
things better were the enemy, and actually convinced people to vote for them,
even though they promised to continue to pollute their air and their water, and
refuse medical care to their children. Whole towns had their water poisoned so
bad the people went without water for weeks, and they accused the people of
being “takers” for asking for water to drink and cook with. And yet, these
people were convinced that the men in charge did it for their own good, and
they voted to keep these people in charge.
All this time, the men
in charge denigrated women. Made excuses for raping them, and told women that
they were incapable of making their own medical decisions. They blamed women
for being raped. They refused to accept responsibility for their own actions. They
expected women to be quiet while they used religion and lower pay to keep women
under their control. They paid women less than men, and tried to prevent women
from voting by making unfair laws that hindered their voting. The men in charge
had become afraid of women, because women had gotten a taste of financial
freedom, and had become stronger, and more educated. So, they cut funding to
schools. They did not want educated people. It is much easier to manipulate
those who cannot think for themselves, and zombies were what they wanted. How
else would they get rich if the women got smart enough to lead? But women had a
taste of education, and they loved to learn, so they learned more and more,
making them more qualified for higher paying jobs. But the men in charge
refused to pay them what they were worth.
AND
WE DID NOT COMPLAIN:
A new leader attempted to make peace with a people that had never attacked
another land, but was working on nuclear materials. The leader had been raised
by a wise grandmother, who taught him that friendship and talking was the
smoothest way to peace. That friends are less likely to start a war with you.
So, he went to other lands, or sent those he trusted, to talk. They talked, and
they developed a good relationship with this land we had been enemies with for
years. And they talked, and other nations joined us, and they negotiated a deal
that would destroy most of the nuclear materials that our former enemy had
developed, and their leaders promised to allow foreigners to inspect their facilities
to guarantee that they kept their promises. Both sides understood that, though
they did not completely trust each other, they would work at earning that
trust. The people of the world were excited that a nuclear threat was about to
be stopped! The country, itself was excited.
But the men in charge screamed and yelled and refused to accept this deal,
because they still wanted to go steal the oil. Men running for President even
promised to steal the oil. But our leader said, ”NO. The People want peace.”
So the men in charge
lied. Their pawns on the TVs and radios lied to the people and convinced almost
half of them that the deal was a bad deal. They convinced the old white men of
their party that a war was the only way to stop a nuclear threat, and they lied
about the deal. They never suggested that people read the deal, they wanted
people to believe them. It was in their best interests that the people not read
the deal, because then the people might figure out that they were lying.
These men in charge wanted to send our sons and our daughters to another war.
Not to find peace, but to steal oil. Why did they want to do this? To make
their “donors” richer. To put more money in their own pockets. War would mean more
weapons manufactured. It meant more planes, more supplies, and more money for
the wealthy owners of those industries. And once again, they believed that they
could steal the oil and bring it home.
This time, we say “NO!!!”
Women Arise!!!
Stand up for your children,
Stand
up for your grandchildren.
Tell these men NO, you
can’t have them
Tell them that if they want oil in a far off land, they can go get it
themselves,
But we, the women of
the world will not send our children to steal, or to die.
Men have had thousands
of years to make things good, and they have failed.
It is time for women to show men how to do this. It is time for women to come
out of our houses and clean up the world. We must not allow men to continue to
poison our waters, pollute our air, or destroy our land. We must replant the
trees, fix the landscapes and make the Earth beautiful again.
Nature is suffering, animals dying, and the climate changing because man has
failed to be a good steward of his land. We have given them the reins for too
long, and they have failed to use their intelligence to supply our needs
without destroying our earth.
Women, come together
all over the world. Tell the men we will no longer tolerate hate. We will not
allow our children to live in fear. We will NOT send our children to battle, to
fight when there are other options. We will not stand for our men leaving and
never returning because they are fighting for the very things that are
destroying our earth. It is time we showed them that kind words, love,
compassion, and compromise are the best ways to settle disputes. We will show
them that humans can sit down and discuss issues, listen to those around us,
and work together to make the entire world a better place.
We will tear down the invisible borders of US and THEM. We are all human, and
it is time we acted like it. We call
ourselves Humane, but our men have failed to live it. Benevolence, compassion, understanding and
kindness have not been a driving force between nations.
Women Arise. We must stand together. If we don’t do
something, our men will destroy us all.
We MUST stop the madness. No woman wants to watch her child die. Why
would we want another woman to have to bury her child? Every woman wants a better life for her
children and grandchildren than she had, so why shouldn’t we help other women
do the same for their children?
Every religion on Earth teaches Peace and Love, and yet we have allowed Hate
and Fear and War in our lives. What makes us superior to animals, when even
animals show compassion, and only kill for food? We must teach our children to
stop waste. Food, water, resources are wasted on one continent, while another
goes wanting. We must teach our children to share. After all, isn’t that what
love is?
Show the men of the Earth that love can be
extended to all. That compassion is more healing than hate. Friendship is
kinder than silence. We must reach out to each other all over the world. We
must educate our children in things that matter. Teach them how to care for the
Earth. Teach them how to communicate with each other. We must teach them
tolerance, compassion, and love. We must instill pride and empathy, and hope.
We must come together and restore the earth in all its glory. We must preserve
pristine lands and protect them from those who would destroy them in the search
of more resources. We must stop the extinction of animals, because if we can’t
do that, how will we prevent the extinction of humans?
We must DEMAND clean energy, and refuse to allow another stream or river to be
poisoned, or another mountain top torn away. We must stop deforestation without
replacement of trees. We must do whatever is necessary to prevent the ice caps
from melting. We cannot wait until it is too late. Men have argued and
procrastinated instead of trying SOMETHING, ANYTHING!!! We might make some mistakes along the way,
but we must try to save our Earth!!
If we don’t stand up
and tell men ENOUGH we will not see that. We will watch our children die from
poisoned water. We will see our mountains destroyed, our trees cut down, and
earthquakes shake things apart, and our weather get worse and worse.
Women, we know that we are sisters, not enemies. So ARISE. Not just for
ourselves, but for our families, too. For our children, for their children, and
their children. Women clean house before they leave, so when they return it
will be clean. Why shouldn’t we clean our Earth before we leave it?
What woman would leave her home for her
children to clean the mess that she made? What woman would not clean her home,
knowing that visitors are coming? Well, visitors ARE coming!!! Family, friends,
and strangers are coming to our land, and we should be ashamed to let them see
it in the condition that it is.
How can we do this,
when the men are in charge?? VOTE!!! Run for office!!! Be a LEADER!! Support other women who are leaders. Vote the
men out, and replace them with women. And most of all, tell men that we will
NOT allow our children to die because of their stubbornness and greed.
How many men would survive a week, if they had to do their job, clean the
house, cook the meals, do the laundry and care for the kids? And let’s face it,
they can’t give birth to a child!!!
We are stronger than men!!! It is time
we reminded them of that. They might be able to lift heavier weight, but we can
withstand more pain. WE repopulate the world. Without women, human life on
Earth will die out. Why shouldn’t we have MORE say in how those children will
live?
Seek out your sisters for support.
The men in charge say that we are the greatest country. But what great country
would turn their backs on starving children? What great country would put
helping the rich above helping those who fought their wars? What great country
would demonize homeless people? What
great country would disrespect their leader? What great country would lower
their investment in children, the leaders of the future? What great country
would let thousands die every year for lack of healthcare? What great country
would allow their leaders to spread hate, fear, and division? What great
country would divide their people into “groups” and define each group with
different degrees of acceptance? What
great country would turn away people who feared for their lives and had to
escape a dangerous land? What great
country could look at pictures of dead children washed up on beaches because
their families needed to escape a war torn land, and ignore the plight of these
children?
WE CAN BE GREAT AGAIN, but we must hold our lawmakers accountable for turning
our country into a bigoted, ugly, hateful, and fearful people. We must remove
them from power, and let others know we will never again accept inequality. We
must tell them “never again” will we choose war over a chance at peace. We must
hold them responsible for the destruction of our land that they authorized because
of greed. We must punish them for ignoring the needs of the many, to pacify the
few. We must make this a better land for our children, and their children.
We must open our hearts to the world. We must be peacekeepers, not warmongers.
We must find ways to heal the sick throughout the world.
We must stop the conspicuous consumption by the greedy, and help the needy. We
must see those who are disadvantaged for what they are: on hard times. We must
acknowledge that given the right circumstances, those homeless people could be
US!!
So, Women, UNITE!! Demand the respect we
deserve. How DARE they treat their wives, daughters and female co-workers disrespectfully! We KNOW their Mothers taught them better! Tell
men to move over – they have failed, and they need to get out of the way so we
can fix their mess!!
